The Grant family are proud farmers of the local surrounding land for over 100 years. Originally operating a mixed farm until 1979, farmer Ted Grant OBE was faced with a dilemma. By now the farm had turned completely arable, and relied heavily on oil to help dry the crops
after harvest.
Unfortunately, when oil prices skyrocketed, Ted wasn’t convinced that the business would remain viable. So, long before farm diversification became the norm it is today, Ted bought a small oven and started producing dog food directly on the farm using the wheat he would harvest locally.
Over the years we have added to our Fold Hill family, welcoming both Pointer and Laughing Dog Food on board. We’re constantly working to improve our products while inventing innovative ways to develop new products to keep dogs and cats happy and healthy. Of course, the story doesn’t end there. With the introduction of our luxury dog treat brand Ruffingtons to the Fold Hill family in 2024, we are excited what the year ahead holds for Fold Hill Foods.

Family Run
We are still very much a family-owned business and we are incredibly proud of our rural home for our bakery and our investment in our local rural community. Not only do we use our own cereals, but we prefer to source locally where possible, and all suppliers are approved by us. Our commitment to the countryside extends into sustainability too with our solar power system, situated behind our farm, saving over 400 tonnes of carbon each year.
Of course, our workforce here makes more of a difference to Fold Hill than anything else. From the farm, the mill, warehouse, offices, our sales representatives, and the Grant family, we are one team that are truly passionate about delivering the highest quality of pet food to our customers.
White Label
By developing our own label complete dog food line, we can ensure that our customers have access to high-quality products at affordable prices. This will also give our customers more choices when it comes to their customers too.
We offer a Premium Wheat Free range offering 26% meat in Adult, Puppy and Senior life stages as well as Large Breed. They are available in both 2Kg and 12Kg brown bags and are available in both Vatable and Working Dog. The Adult recipes cover the main favourites of Turkey & Rice, Salmon & Rice and Lamb
& Rice as well as Chicken, Pork and Duck.
