H3D showcased the product range at PATS Telford in September 2023 with Donald Cooke Ltd, the new team are hugely excited by the prospect of getting the range back in the forefront of retailers minds and back on shelf across the country.

Tick Infections in Dogs: A Growing Concern in the UK
Ticks are small, blood-sucking parasites commonly found in grassy and wooded areas across the United Kingdom. While they might seem insignificant, these tiny creatures pose a significant threat to the health of dogs and humans, potentially causing various infections and diseases.
The Presence of Ticks in the UK
In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the population of ticks in the UK. This surge is partly attributed to milder winters and changes in climate patterns, allowing ticks to thrive and multiply.
The season tends start as ticks become active when the temperature gets above 6-10°C – and they are particularly hungry at this time, usually by March. Infected Ticks can transmit a range of diseases through their bites if they are not removed effectively, most commonly Lyme Disease.
Symptoms of Lyme Disease in dogs may vary from lameness, fever, lethargy, and swollen joints to more severe complications affecting the heart, kidneys, and nervous system if left untreated.
Prevention and Control
Preventing tick bites is not an easy thing to do, especially if walking in longer grass or woodland areas where they are most prone.
Checking For Ticks:
After walks in grassy or wooded areas, thoroughly inspect your dog's fur for ticks. Pay close attention to areas such as ears, between toes, around the head, and under the collar which is where they are most commonly found.
